Thomas King is an accomplished Senior Executive with more than 30 years of success in investment banking, private equity, consulting and investment in the alternative energy, biofuels, power and utility sectors. Leveraging extensive experience in driving business and go-to-market strategy development, delivering change management, financial structuring, and identifying potential risks, he is a valuable asset for organizations in the process of transitioning away from traditional to alternative energy, companies seeking strategies for growth and fundraising, and businesses pursuing guidance for managing or optimizing debt. His broad areas of expertise include business growth and development, global business, funding, negotiations, communication, strategic planning, go-to-market strategy, analytics, risk management, and leadership.

Thomas is the Managing Partner of CrossRiver Capital where he dedicates himself to advising compelling companies and organizations - helping them prepare for investment and facilitating their growth.

In 2018, Thomas founded and serves as Director of the Fundacion Borincana, a non-profit dedicated to building critical capacities in Puerto Rico to proactively develop a modern, resilient, distributed energy infrastructure. Additionally, He holds positions on the boards of Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions Forum, Cleantech Leaders Roundtable, and the American Renewable Energy Institute.

Over the course of his career, Thomas has served as an Advisor/Board Member for organizations including Enact Systems Inc., the Geothermal Energy Association, Alphabet Energy, the NY Green Bank, and CleanFund Commercial PACE Capital. Thomas helped secure the Angel investment for Alphabet Energy, which became the first company to develop a commercially viable, low cost manufacturing process for thermoelectrics at scale. He has successfully helped establish companies and devise strategies to get their technologies off of the ground. Through his work with CleanFund, the organization has risen to become one of the leaders in its industry in providing financing for energy improvements to commercial real estate.

Other accomplishments include: Co-Founding Partner of US Renewables Group, the first private equity group focused solely on renewable power, bio-fuels/chemicals, and related infrastructure; Founded, raised, and managed the $3 Billion Chase Global Project Debt Fund, at the time in 1999 it was only teh second debt fund ever to close on over $1 Billion; Teesside Power, which was, at over $2 billion one of the largest non-recourse project financings ever and a landmark in 1991; key roles on the first power and utility privatizations in Portugal, India, Australia, and Ghana (among others); and within the Department of Energy established key program elements under the FIPP created by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Thomas received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of California Santa Cruz. He obtained his Master of Business Administration in Finance, Energy, and International Business from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
